RONALD GOUT

"MY SPECIAL FOCUS IS ON BUILDINGS THAT CONTRIBUTE SOMETHING TO SOCIETY."

Designing is not something you do alone; the input of architect, structural engineer, building physicist, building project manager and last but not least the client/user himself are also important to achieve an integral and therefore optimal (comfortable, sustainable and within budget) result. In my role as installation consultant I focus mainly on electrical installations, including telematics, security and smart buildings. In addition, I have a strong affinity with quality thinking and risk management.

In the past thirty-plus years, I have worked on the most diverse projects, such as hospitals, schools, theaters, computer centers for banks/insurers and the Tax Office, office buildings with innovative workplace concepts for various agencies, locations of Holland Casino and even a traffic tunnel (Koningstunnel The Hague). Besides traditional tendering methods, I have also gained experience with integrated design teams (Renovation Paleis het Loo, Atlas building TU/E), DBFMO projects (Het Gelders Huis) and framework contracts (including Wageningen University, AUMC).

My special focus is on buildings that contribute something to society, such as hospitals (Oncology Department Gelderse Vallei Hospital, renovation of UMCU PICU/NICU Wilhelmina Children's Hospital), educational buildings (Building Orion WURKoningsberger building Utrecht University) and cultural buildings (Theater Orpheus ApeldoornEntrance building Open Air Museum, National Depot CC NL).

I participate in some networks such as the Light House Club, for which I have been a member of the national board, the membership committee and the departmental board of the Stedendriehoek, and the ET2000.
