"THE JOURNEY FROM A THEORETICAL DESIGN TO A PRACTICALLY FEASIBLE INSTALLATION, THAT MOTIVATES ME!"

After my MBO training in Electrotechnical Installation Technology (EIT), I started as a draftsman at an installation company and then progressed to the position of project leader. During the same period, I completed the General Operational Technology - Electrical Installation Technology (AOT-EIT) course at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences.

In May 2021, I started at Valstar Simonis as an electrical engineering project leader. With over 10 years of experience as a draughtsman, work planner and project leader, I have extensive knowledge of the executive side in installation technology. This knowledge, along with my practical attitude and analytical skills, is what I like to bring to the projects and designs of Valstar Simonis.

What appeals to me about working at Valstar Simonis is that there is a lot of focus on sustainability and the future of buildings therein. In order to make and keep the world as sustainable as possible, I see incorporating this aspect into my designs and advice as my biggest challenge.

At the moment I am involved in various projects at the WUR (Wageningen University & Research), the redesign of MFA Nieuw Welgelegen in Utrecht and the new construction of "the house of amateur art" VRIJDAG in Groningen. I am also working on the renovation and new construction of the OKZ (Ouder Kind Zorg) for the Scheper hospital in Emmen.
