I started my career at Valstar Simonis in 2000 as a draughtsman/technician in electrical engineering, until 2006. Now I have been working again at Valstar Simonis as a Senior Project Manager since 2018. In the intervening period, I have gained extensive experience in project management and the consulting profession, in all its facets, at two consultants and a large national installer.
I have extensive experience in designing and supervising projects with electrical installations. Integral design with different parties to translate the wishes of the client into an effective and sustainable design within the available budget, is the starting point with which I approach each project.
In addition to the design process, I have a passion for execution. I love having my feet in the clay assisting the client to monitor the realization and quality of the installations.
Among other things, I am involved in various projects at Schiphol Airport. Recently, the Testing & Commissioning project of Refurbishment Terminal 1 (HT1) at Schiphol was completed. In this dynamic environment we demonstrate, through testing the various installations, that the areas to be put into use meet Schiphol's safety requirements and fundamentals. We did this completely independently of the designing and implementing parties. This requires tactful communication and tenacity.
