What does an Engineer at Valstar Simonis do?
- You actively participate in the design of electrical installations, inside and around buildings. You can do this with the help of Autocad and Revit;
- You work closely with Project Leaders and Advisors from the various design teams within Valstar Simonis. For example, you write, possibly with guidance, design and specification texts and additional advice notes about partial designs;
- Perhaps an intern will join you to watch and learn the basics of our profession;
- Project teams can be working from different locations, so it might be that you regularly work with colleagues from Apeldoorn, The Hague, Eindhoven or Groningen.
- As an Engineer, you go through all phases of a project with us, from preliminary design to final design, from specifications to implementation supervision. Of course it is possible that you have more expertise in some areas, in which you could distinguish yourself.
What does the profile of an interesting candidate look like for us?
- You have completed an installation technique training (especially the HIT is very interesting) and preferably you have gained work experience as an Engineer at an installer or consultancy;
- You get very enthusiastic about cool, complex projects. For example, we work on 175 different projects (small and large) every day, from the renovation of Paleis 't Loo, the UMCG, to the most sustainable education building in the world, the Atlas building of the TU in Eindhoven. - For writing reports, it is good if you know how to get the message across in writing. Orally you also feel comfortable enough to make your voice heard, whether it concerns substantiating your choices or giving constructive feedback within a project.
