After more than forty years of education in the current school building, the Ashram College is ready for a school building that suits contemporary education. A brand new, healthy, energy-efficient and sustainable school building will therefore soon be built on the site of the current Ashram College.

Almost energy neutral and circular
It will be an almost energy-neutral school building without a gas meter, with heat pumps and solar panels on the roof. In addition, many materials from the current building are also reused in the new design. For example, the wooden floor in the gymnasiums will be incorporated in various places in the new building. In the meantime, education continues in the existing buildings.

Our assignment
Valstar Simonis is responsible for the technical design of the mechanical and electronic building installations, data infrastructure installations, support during the contractor's contract phase and the construction implementation of the project.
The building will have different climate zones due to all kinds of uses and orientation of the building parts. There are various rooms that are air-conditioned, such as the gymnasiums, theater hall, auditorium and practice rooms (including binas). Various installation systems are required here, such as fume cupboards, safety facilities, three-phase connections, etc.
It is a BENG school and it is likely that the school will even become energy neutral. The school and the installations meet Frisse Scholen class B (and Class A in a number of aspects).
