I have been working for Valstar-Simonis in the position of Mechanical Engineering Project Manager since 2018. After my internship and graduation period at Valstar Simonis, I chose to gain practical experience at various installation companies. I gained about 20 years of knowledge and practical experience in both project and maintenance environments. At installation companies, you come into direct contact with materials and develop a feel for dimensions and weights of components and their compatibility. Yet I knew one thing for sure: that one day I wanted to return to Ingenieursbureau Valstar Simonis. My experience is very applicable here in assessing designs and working drawings, among other things.
Solution-focused thinking when there are bumps to be taken during a (re)construction period, where a good interplay between consultant and installer leads to the best end result. I can enjoy that... Coming up with a solution in which trade-offs are made in terms of sustainability, investment costs and operating costs.
I studied mechanical engineering at TH Rijswijk. After that I studied Higher Installation Technology Mechanical Engineering (HIT-W), Energy Performance Advice Utility (EPA-U) and at the moment I am closely involved in the renovation of various building parts of Erasmus Medical Center and the realization of the 8the floor of Bezuidenhof.
