As Director of Operations, as one of the three board members, I determine our agency's strategy and translate it into concrete objectives. I have a leading role in the change process in favor of (even) more job satisfaction and therefore a better operating result. After all, I am convinced that if employees enjoy their work, it ultimately pays off enormously in all areas. They are the ambassadors of our organization, both among our clients and potential new colleagues. But they will also feel more connected to the organization internally. By challenging employees to develop in a direction in which they can be of even greater value, we believe we can increase job satisfaction. As far as I am concerned, a win-win situation!
My responsibilities within our organization include finance, HRM, legal affairs and quality (ISO certification). I have always had a broad interest and a high energy level. The fact that I work across the organization therefore suits me perfectly.
And I also remain eager to learn and always looking to improve. As a female lawyer, I sometimes have a completely different view of things than my (mainly) male technical colleagues and, of course, vice versa. As a result, we learn from each other and keep getting better. But also privately I keep developing; for example, as a Schuldhulpmaatje (debt relief buddy) I try to empower people who are in financial trouble. That also makes me wiser; it broadens my view of the world.
