I joined Valstar Simonis in May 2022 in the role of HR Officer. After graduating from HBO Personnel & Labor, I gained experience in HR, recruitment and payroll.
The last 9 years I worked as a Payroll Advisor and within that role I worked for many different clients. My ambition was to fulfill an HR role within one organization, so I started looking for a medium-sized, informal, 'no-nonsense' organization and that's how Valstar Simonis came my way.
Within Valstar Simonis I am involved in the continuous optimization of the HR processes and contribute to important projects such as Vitality and (Personal) Development. I am also responsible for the recruitment process and, last but not least, I am the HR contact for my colleagues.
My heart beats faster when I can make a difference within an organization, by making processes work better and by giving people sincere attention and finding out what they need in their work. It gives me energy when it turns out that I can add value and actually contribute to the happiness at work and therefore to the operating result.
What I like about Valstar Simonis is that it employs people who, like me, are passionate about their work and enjoy sharing that passion with others. Colleagues like to work with and for each other and that makes me feel at home here. In addition, there is plenty of room for a joke and a laugh, which balances everything out nicely.
