New assignment: redesign Groningen Station

Through the framework contract that we have with the NS, Valstar Simonis has been approached for an initial exploration of the redesign of the most beautiful station in the Netherlands, chosen by travelers in 2019: the main station of Groningen.

The assignment is, by means of a study, to make a structural design that makes the monumental building future-proof. In addition, it must be in line with the area development that is currently underway and the installations must be renewed and made more sustainable. The study starts with an inventory, coordination with various parties and a desk study of information supplied by architects and building physicists. Maintenance is also inspected.

This assignment comes in addition to the assignments from the NS to support six locations with the ATES installation.
