We are delighted to present Marijn Braadbaart (57) as our new senior advisor commissioning and smart buildings. Marijn has broad experience in the design, realization and operation of installations, with a strong focus on innovation, efficiency and sustainability. The combination of that experience and his hands-on background in automating building-related systems means that commissioning is a 'natural' service for Marijn.
During his career, Marijn Braadbaart has played a leading role in investing in new technology and systems at several organizations. He did this, for example, by developing measuring equipment for energy consumption, devising software for standardizing and analyzing energy consumption. In addition, Marijn was also involved in the automation of energy consumption and the development of standard procedures for the design and management of building management systems.
Over the past ten years, Marijn has set up a commissioning department in the United States at a large consultancy and engineering firm. During that period he has led more than 150 commissioning projects, in various market segments. This included large university buildings, laboratories, data centers and airport buildings.
In this way, Marijn has not only built up a lot of expertise, but also had a lot of fun during the close and productive collaboration with design teams, consultants, implementers and suppliers, as well as with end users and facility management. Marijn now (since September 2020) uses this experience for Valstar Simonis' clients.
In addition, Marijn will be involved in further expanding Valstar Simonis' services in the field of integrated solutions and Smart Buildings.
