A healthy and sustainable world is what we are committed to achieving at Valstar Simonis. We are proud that we can work on beautiful projects, such as the renovation of Palace 't Loo, the temporary housing of the House of Representatives or the expansion of the Kröller-Müller Museum . Our relations and clients come to us for complex technical questions and we are happy to use our expertise for independent advice or design.
Valstar Simonis consists of 65 employees, spread over four locations. We also have 9 great colleagues working on the Veluwe, from beautiful Apeldoorn, and we are looking for a captain for this top team.
What does a branch manager do at Valstar Simonis?
The comparison with a (sports) team was deliberately chosen, because as a branch manager you are really the captain of our team in Apeldoorn. You are the point of contact for the branch internally and externally and are responsible for the team and the results.
For example, you are involved in HR tasks, such as guiding employees (e.g. in their development) and capacity planning. But you are also a listening ear for the team if they want to discuss a project with you (which can be technical, but also about the process).
Your team is part of Valstar Simonis and we are really one club. So you and the Apeldoorn team contribute to our strategy with the aim of a healthy and sustainable world. We regularly discuss whether we are still on the right course with our Management Team, of which you are also a part.
At Valstar Simonis, technology is always the basis and that is why you are not only a branch manager, but also an advisor. The duties of an advisor include:
- You are responsible for a number of projects both substantively and financially;
- You build and maintain relationships with clients and partners (including architects) with whom we collaborate;
- You write quotations and work on tender processes. You are then responsible for the project from A to Z. Not only for project management (e.g. budget and planning), but also for the technical content;
- You advise our clients in the field of installation technology, without losing sight of the integrality of the design;
- You work with various stakeholders and can properly assess everyone's interests;
- You make the design choices, preferably with the highest possible sustainable ambitions.
Of course, you won't do all of this alone because we always work in teams. But you are the leader who directs your project team to the quality that clients expect from us.
In short, the position is twofold where you spend approximately 30% of your time on the role of branch manager and the remaining 70% on the role of advisor.
What can you expect from Valstar Simonis?
A lot of freedom in terms of fulfilling the position, smart colleagues who you can enjoy working with and the opportunity to really make an impact for a healthy world. Naturally, you will receive a good salary consisting of a fixed and variable part, an electric lease car, laptop and telephone, NS Business Card and a work-from-home and internet allowance. And we promise that we will often make your technical heart beat faster!
What does the profile of an interesting candidate look like for us?
We are looking for an authentic captain who is positive, can listen well and coaches where necessary.
Our ideal candidate has completed a relevant TU/HBO education (for example Mechanical Engineering) and is familiar with our industry. You have several years of experience as a consultant for building-related installations and know how to lead a team.
You are good at organizing and know how to inspire others so that action results. Although you know what you are talking about, you are certainly open to feedback and dare to make yourself vulnerable. You are curious and have a broad view.
Would you like to meet us?
Our HR Officer Jennifer is happy to meet you by telephone to discuss your ambitions and wishes, before she makes an appointment for you with one of our colleagues.
