Valstar Simonis is a medium-sized consultancy and engineering firm with offices in The Hague, Apeldoorn, Eindhoven and Groningen. Our colleagues have extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, with specializations in, among other things, measurement and control technology and transport installations.
35 colleagues work at our office in the 'Hague Arc', including the HR, ICT, Marketing & Communications and financial administration departments. This wonderful group of colleagues has room for a senior measurement and control technology engineer with the ambition to grow into a project leader.
What does a senior measurement and control technology engineer do at Valstar Simonis?
One day you are present at construction meetings with the client and contractor, the next day you are in the office discussing an ongoing design process with colleagues.
With your knowledge and skills you add a lot of value, because you ensure that the installations can run optimally. And not only at the drawing board, but also by carrying out tests on location and monitoring installations. In short: plenty of freedom and variety!
Specific tasks within this role are:
- Drawing up principle diagrams;
- Drawing up measurement and control technical descriptions for tender documents (including specifications);
- Assessing detailed designs, control descriptions and control box diagrams;
- Monitoring the functionality of an installation;
- Analyzing GBS data and processing this in a report;
Do you have the ambition to grow into a project manager?
Then we will work together on your development to realize this. You will work closely with our measurement and control technology advisor and he will always be willing to answer your questions. This also applies to our other colleagues; we are praised for our helpfulness. But if you also need external training, we also welcome this. This can be a substantive course, but also more focused on project management. Our projects deserve customization and that also applies to (the development of) our employees. What does the profile of an interesting candidate look like for us?
- You have completed a basic technical MBO/HBO education, preferably mechanical engineering or electrical engineering;
- You have experience with M&R designs for, for example, a WKO installation and air treatment systems;
- With your social character, you are approachable and you easily take responsibility for making your work a success;
- You are open to taking the Higher Measurement and Control Technology course (if you have already completed it, that is of course great);
- You feel comfortable when you have a lot of freedom and are regularly on the road to project locations.
