Valstar Simonis is an engineering consultancy in the field of installation technology. With approximately 70 employees, we work on approximately 175 different projects every day. This can be creating a design (VO/DO/TO), a strategic sustainability issue or the tender for the largest WKO in the Netherlands.
What does an Advisor at Valstar Simonis do?
As a consultant, you are responsible for a number of projects, varying in size and complexity. You maintain contact with (potential) clients and translate their wishes into a quote. For each project, you have a team of project managers and engineers that you manage. You monitor the quality and without your approval, the result document (e.g. VO or DO) will not go to the client. As a consultant, you are not only responsible for good project management, supported by the project administration, but you also determine the strategy in terms of technology.
As an experienced force, you are the example for your younger talented colleagues at the Groningen branch. The team of 5 is eager to further expand their knowledge and make great steps in their (personal) development. And you are an important link in that.

What does the profile of an interesting candidate look like for us?
- Our ideal candidate has completed a relevant TU/HBO education (for example Mechanical Engineering) and is familiar with our industry;
- Knowledge of installations in hospitals is of great added value;
- You have several years of experience in installation technology and can use (complex) technology to make an impact;
- You are good at transferring knowledge to others;
