A close-knit team of 8 employees works at Science Park Eindhoven. This team is a nice mix of junior engineers and experienced project leaders who work on impressive projects every day. And they could use some help with that!
What does a Mechanical Engineer do at Valstar Simonis?
You design mechanical installations in and around buildings and you may also develop them. You work closely with the project leaders and advisors of the various design teams within Valstar Simonis.
- You independently carry out design work for various (complex) projects:
- You make calculations and start setting up principle diagrams;
- You write design and specification texts (with support where necessary);
- It often happens that our teams consist of employees from different locations, so you may take a trip to one of the other locations. Regular consultations are also held via Teams.
- You regularly consult with BIM modellers and designers from other disciplines to give the integral design the quality that we find so important;
What does the profile of an interesting candidate look like for us?
- You have completed an HBO/WO study in Mechanical Engineering;
- Additional relevant training/courses are useful
- A completed HIT diploma; it makes us super happy!
- For writing reports, it is good if you know how to get the message across in writing. Orally you also feel comfortable enough to make your voice heard, whether it concerns substantiating your choices or giving constructive feedback within a project.
- Maybe you can already model or you are open to following a training (Revit).
Do you want to contribute to a healthier planet?
Valstar Simonis aims to design as many (almost) energy neutral buildings (BENG) and BREEAM-NL certified buildings as possible.
Within this position we offer you the opportunity to specialize in the field of sustainability.
For example, you start by taking building surveys (for existing buildings: Energy Performance Advice (EPA), for new buildings: calculations in VABI EPA U for energy use). You can then expand your knowledge by specializing in the field of BREEAM-NL, WELL, GPR.
With the right guidance, we ensure that you can take the right steps in your career. This is done through 'training-on-the-job' and taking various courses regarding sustainability certificates.
