Gym De Bongerd of Wageningen University

DESCRIPTION OF THIS PROJECT

Gym De Bongerd of Wageningen University and Research has been expanded with one large sports hall, including grandstand, changing rooms, showers, climbing wall and a small sports hall. Both rooms can also be used as an exam room. The sports hall is built against the current sports hall and meets the guidelines of the NOC-NSF.

Installations, flexibility & sustainability

LED lighting, air treatment with heat recovery, six large shower rooms, moving parts of existing central heating system.

The sports halls are also used for exams and exams. The WUR offers many sports and activities, for which there are various storage spaces around the sports halls.

Solar panels are placed on the roof of the sports hall.

Valstar Simonis has produced the design for all electronic and mechanical installations. Of course in close consultation with SW architects en GAJ VBW Architects executed. We also supported WUR with advice, both during the tender process and during implementation.

The sports hall covers:

  • On the ground floor approx. 2.500 m2
  • On the first floor approx. 600 m2

And has the following functions:

  • Sports hall 1.350 m2 (also used as an exam room)
  • Intermediate space, sports hall 300 m2 (also used as an exam room)
  • Storage rooms 150 m2
  • Changing rooms, grandstand, corridor and technical room

The sports hall covers:
