I have been working at Valstar Simonis in the position of BIM Coordinator since 2019. I built up my knowledge and experience over the past eight years at two major contractors and an architectural firm in Austria. Since 2018, I have settled in the Netherlands.
During my career I have focused on integral design with intensive application of BIM software. It is a great challenge to turn a smart, efficient and sustainable installation design into the overall design in close cooperation with architects and structural engineers. The use of BIM software offers a great advantage to process all available information. And to quickly identify and resolve any ambiguities in the design. This ensures faster and more efficient execution.
For the future, it will become increasingly important to design, based on the right information, a good model. Because with a powerful BIM model, our clients can use and maintain their buildings in an efficient way, and throughout the lifecycle, in the best possible way. I am also involved in further developing the BIM process within Valstar Simonis. And with a team of driven colleagues, we are integrating automation more into the design process. I am proud that we are exploring new developments such as parametric design as an application.
